As I was explaining in my earlier post, we came across this bridge in Freedom Park. Owen was really into it. I let him explore around and boy did he! At one point he was laying on his tummy with his heavy cheeks almost touching the boards of the walkway. He hardly moved for a minute. Like he was checking something out between the slates of wood. I took a picture of what he was viewing during that time. And it was the river flowing underneath us!

Our trip to Charlotte was packed full of fun and nature! Grandma Beth (also known as Bah!)took us to Freedom Park. Owen discovered this bridge around the corner which led us to the entrance of a childrens museum. I was surprised to find this little treasure of a place. Owen and another boy (born in the same month) were the only ones there at the time and had a great time crawling through burrough owl tunnels, splashing in the kid size play river, and checking out the bug room. Beth and I loved the butterfly garden. Which has inspired me to plant my own butterfly garden at home. (more pictures on this progress later) I was proud of Owen's attention span to sit still and quietly as we strolled through the silent glassed in atrium. Beth made me laugh several times as she spread her arms out patiently waiting for a tiny creature to rest on her finger. I'm sure if we were there long enough shed have made contact. All in all a perfect day.
