This milkweed is new to the garden. Its a host for catepillars of the monarch butterfly. its the only plant the endangered monarchs will lay its eggs on. I bought this at a benefit for Monarch Butterflys. It seems to be doing well, but i haven't seen a butterfly yet. When the leaves begin to get eaten, Ill know the catepillars found it!!

This confederate Jasmine smells so sweet, it reminds me of honeysuckle.

We just harvested the last of our swiss chard. Our summer heat would make it bitter if we kept it in the ground. All those plants and it cooked down like spinach. We will definately be planting more of that next spring.
